Ingredients of Eggless Vanilla Cake

Following ingredients will be needed for how to make eggless cake.

All-purpose Flour (maida) 1.5 Cup
Baking powder 1 tablespoon
Salt 1 pinch
Vanilla powder 1 tablespoon
Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tablespoon
Oil/Melted Butter ½ Cup
Water ½ Cup
Regular Sugar ¾ Cup
Yogurt 4 tablespoon


After collecting all the above mentioned ingredients follow the given method to prepare eggless cake.

  • Take all purpose flour, baking powder and pinch of salt and sift them in a mixing pan.
  • Preheat oven at about 180 degree centigrade
  • Take almost 6 to 7 inches pan and make it greasy by applying oil or melted butter inside it.
  • Take half cup of melted butter and add sugar in the warm butter.
  • Mix sugar into butter by proper stirring and put this mixture aside
  • Take another small bowl and add yogurt (4 tablespoon) in it. Beat the yogurt properly by adding one table spoon water in it until the smooth yogurt is obtained.
  • In the yogurt mixture now add 1 tablespoon of vinegar & baking soda and stir all the ingredients to get the homogeneous mixture.
  • Add this homogeneous mixture in to the sifted all purpose flour and mix it properly.
  • Now add butter sugar mixture in it and again mix these well.
  • Also add vanilla powder in the same pan of mixture.
  • Stir well to mix all the ingredients properly and avoid lumps in the mixture.
  • Pour this homogeneous mixture into the greasy pan.
  • After pouring into pan, shake it and tap it from side in order to release trapped air bubbles.
  • Now place this pan full of mixture into the preheated oven and bake it for 30 minutes at 180 degree temperature.
  • When the cake is baked, take it out of oven and keep it for 10 minutes at room temperature.
  • Now take it out of the pan and place it in a tray or plate
  • This is how to make eggless cake. Your cake is ready you can do to topping as you like.

Tips for how to make eggless cake

Sometimes, even if you have the right recipe you cannot bake the cake properly because some thing goes wrong like:

  • If you have put the cake mixture in oven and it has turned brown only after few minutes than do the trick and put aluminum foil over the cake.
  • You can increase or decrease the amount of sugar according to your own choice but if you are going to do topping with the jam than prefer less sugar.
